Road closures

We would like to apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closures on 15 and 16 April 2023 and thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

General closures:

  • Coolsingel (Hofplein - Meent): Friday 10 am to Sunday 11 pm
  • Schiedamsedijk: Saturday 6 am to Sunday 8 pm
  • Rodezand + Stadhuisstraat + Raamplein + Doelwater: Saturday 6 am to Sunday 11 pm
  • Burgemeester van Walsumweg: Sunday 5 am to 5 pm

The Wilhelminakade will remain accessible, for this purpose traffic is allowed in two directions in the Otto Reuchlinweg via the Posthumalaan. Are you traveling by car? Then the advice is: if you come into the city from the west, then leave the city in the west. If you are coming from the east, exit through the east as well.

By car

We advise all participants and spectators to travel by public transport as much as possible. If you know people in your area who are also participating or who are going to Rotterdam, try riding together. It is more pleasant, saves costs and is environmentally conscious. Some parking garages in and around the start and finish location around NN Marathon Rotterdam are not accessible or have limited access.

An alternative is to use P+R locations. Because many participants and spectators come by car from outside Rotterdam, the Rotterdam P+R parking garages can be used. Please note: In some P+R areas you can only park for free if you continue your journey by public transport. At a number of P+R sites you can only park for free if you travel by public transport with an OV chip card or a RET day ticket with chip (purchased from the machine or from the driver).
