Registration 41st edition NN Marathon Rotterdam now open
11/25/2021Registration for the 41st edition of the NN Marathon Rotterdam, also known as #demooiste, fastest and biggest marathon of the Netherlands opened today. Traditionally, the marathon weekend starts with Your Marathon Challenge, NN Kids Runs and City Run Rotterdam (4.2 km) on Saturday 9 April 2022. The starting shot will sound for tens of thousands of participants in the ¼ Marathon Rotterdam, NN Marathon Rotterdam and TBI Business Runs on Sunday 10 April.
41 Years of #demooiste
After the successful jubilee edition of last October, the organisation is confident that the 41st edition will be yet another spectacular experience. No other marathon in the Netherlands can match the atmosphere and ambiance of Rotterdam. Spectators will be able to cheer on the participants and encourage them across the finish on the Coolsingel in front of the City Hall as tradition dictates both on Saturday and Sunday.
The iconic Erasmusbrug, magical Kralingen and famous Coolsingel are moments dotting the route that runners will never forget. The organisation is proud of its city, proud of its marathon and wishes to share that feeling with runners, volunteers, partners and spectators.
KWF – Running against Cancer
For this 41st edition, the NN Marathon Rotterdam is again supporting the KWF Kankerbestrijding. Fewer case of cancer, more cures and a better quality of life for cancer patients. That is the aim of KWF Kankerbestrijding. Participants can make a difference by adding a donation to KWF when they register and/or creating a campaign page with KWF. Additionally, KWF is running a unique action. When participants register for the ¼ Marathon Rotterdam or the full marathon through KWF and raise at least €500 worth of sponsoring before the 1st of February 2022, they will be rewarded with a free bib number and the unique “Ren tegen kanker” T-shirt.
Registration
Approximately 50,000 runners in total are expected to take part over the marathon weekend. There is a cap on the number of participants for the NN Marathon Rotterdam and ¼ Marathon Rotterdam. The expectation is that, as was the case in previous years, these two very popular distances will sell out very quickly.
Obviously, we will follow the COVID-19 developments closely and will take alle necessary measures. If the event were to be cancelled unexpectedly and cannot take place on 9 and 10 April 2022 due to COVID-19, all purchased bib numbers will remain valid for the following edition.
