Courses
The course of the NN Marathon Rotterdam is known as one of the fastest in the world. In the past, no fewer than three world records have been set. The Dutch record is held by Abdi Nageeye, who crossed the finish line on the heroic Coolsingel in 2022 with a time of 02:04:56.

The famous course of the NN Marathon Rotterdam has had a new starting location since 2018. Participants start at the foot of the Erasmus Bridge and walk in the direction of the Kop van Zuid. The beautiful route takes you past all conceivable highlights of Rotterdam. Along the way, the crowd stands in line to cheer on the participants all the way to the finish line on the heroic Coolsingel.
The course of the NN Marathon Rotterdam has been officially measured.
The course of the NN Marathon Rotterdam is also the course of the TBI Business Runs.

The urban course of the ¼ Marathon Rotterdam starts at the Burgermeester van Walsumweg near the iconic Market Hall and runs under the cube houses through the heart of Rotterdam. The total length of the course is 10.55 K and runs over part of the official marathon course. At Kralingen, the public is fully present to encourage the participants. In addition to their finishing time, all runners will also receive the exact time on the 10 kilometers. The last approximately 550 meters you can enjoy the heroic finish on the festive Coolsingel.
City Run Rotterdam

The City Run Rotterdam starts on the Coolsingel, close to the WTC. From here the route leads to the Leuvehaven in the direction of the Erasmus Bridge and returns via the Maritime District to the bustling Coolsingel. The finish is in front of the City Hall, where the marathon runners also finish a day later. A real Marathon experience guaranteed.

NN Kids Runs
Course NN Kids Run 1 K 2024 - Course NN Kids Run 2.5 K 2024
The start of the NN Kids Runs is on the Coolsingel. From here the trail heads towards Leuvehaven to the Erasmus Bridge and from there returns to the famous Coolsingel. The finish is in front of the City Hall and is a moment for everyone to never forget.

Bib numbers
Bib numbers Dutch participants
Dutch participants can pick up their bib number on Friday 12, Saturday 13 or Sunday 14 April at the WTC-building upon presentation of your e-ticket. The e-tickets will be sent from a week prior to the marathonweekend. If you register before March 17, you're name will be printed on the bib number.
Bib numbers foreign participants
Participants who don’t live in the Netherlands can pick up their bib number on Friday 12, Saturday 13 or Sunday 14 April at the WTC-building upon presentation of your e-ticket. The e-tickets will be sent from a week prior to the marathonweekend.If you register before March 17, you're name will be printed on the bib number.
Bib numbers for schools and companies
Information about receiving bib numbers for schools and companies will be announced at a later date. The bib numbers of the schools and companies will be sent to the contact person the week prior to the NN Marathon Rotterdam. If you register before March 17, you're name will be printed on the bib number.
Bib numbers TBI Business Runs
TBI Business Duo teams and TBI Business Relay teams will be sent their Business packet by mail. This package contains the start numbers. Participants in the 1/4 Marathon or NN Marathon Rotterdam need to pick-up their bib number at the expo. The start number has a box on the inside where general and medical information can be entered. These start numbers do not have a Bib-Tag.
Together with these start numbers you also receive a start number band with an exchange start number to which a Bib-Tag is attached. To this start number band you attach the EXCHANGE start number. This band including the start number is the exchange item. This gives each runner a time in the results.
Bib numbers
Marathon participants will receive two bib numbers, one with a time registration tag (wear it clearly visible on the chest) and one without a tag (wear it on the back). You will receive safety pins from us. Participants in the 1/4 Marathon Rotterdam and the City Run Rotterdam receive one bib number (wear it clearly visible on the chest).
Fill in the medical passport
For your own safety you are strongly encouraged to complete the medical form on the back of the bib. This is very important as the information will help the organisers provide appropriate help in case of an emergency. You must wear your bib number on your chest.
Transfer of bib number
We offer all individually registered participants the opportunity to transfer their bib number (including any additional products purchased) to someone else. You can transfer your bib number to someone else by logging into your account and following the steps. If you transfer your bib number after March 17, your name will not be visible on the bib number, because it has already been printed. Your name will be correct in the end results.
Change of distance
You can change the distance if the desired distance is not yet sold out. You can change to a higher distance with the condition that the difference in price is paid. If you change to a lower distance, there will be no refund of the registration fee (or an part of it).
How it works:
- Log in to your account. The link and password are in the confirmation email;
- Click on ''change race'';
- Choose the distance you want to run and click on ''continue''.
- If you have chosen a higher distance and there is a price difference, you will have to pay the amount due by clicking on ''checkout''.
Start waves
Format start waves
The start waves for the races on Sunday are determined based on your specified expected end time in the registration form. Due to the production of the bib numbers, it is possible to enter your expected end time up to and including March 17. After this, all participants are automatically assigned to the last start wave. Note: after this date it is no longer possible to change the start wave. You may start in a later start wave. Click here for more information about fast runners.

Changing facilities and baggage drop-off
Where are the changing facilities and bag deposit located?
There will be no changing facilities and bag delivery on Saturday 13 April. On Sunday 14 April, changing facilities and bag delivery are only available for participants in the NN Marathon Rotterdam and the AA Drink 1/4 Marathon Rotterdam who have checked this on the registration form (€ 3.00).
Changing facilities
The changing facilities icon is indicated on the start number, which gives you access to the changing facilities. Without a start number with this icon you will not get access. Supporters are also not allowed access to the dressing room.
For men, the changing room is located in De Doelen via the entrance on Kruisplein (open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). For ladies, the dressing room in the Stadsschouwburg is via the entrance on the Schouwburgplein (open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Leaving things in the changing room is not allowed, these will be removed.
The changing facilities and baggage drop-off for the NN Marathon Rotterdam 2024 are sold out.
Baggage drop-off
The bag drop-off (open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) is located in tents on Schouwburgplein. Here you can drop off your bag (without valuables) at your own risk. Note: the maximum dimensions for bags are 30 (l) x 20 (w) x 50 (h).
