We would like to apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closures on 23 and 24 October 2021 and thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

General closures:

  • Coolsingel (Hofplein - Meent): Friday 10 am to Sunday 11 pm
  • Schiedamsedijk: Saturday 6 am to Sunday 8 pm
  • Rodezand + Stadhuisstraat + Raamplein + Doelwater: Saturday 6 am to Sunday 11 pm
  • Burgemeester van Walsumweg: Sunday 5 am to 5 pm

The Wilhelminakade will remain accessible, for this purpose traffic is allowed in two directions in the Otto Reuchlinweg via the Posthumalaan. Are you traveling by car? Then the advice is: if you come into the city from the west, then leave the city in the west. If you are coming from the east, exit through the east as well.

By car

We advise all participants and spectators to travel by public transport as much as possible. If you know people in your area who are also participating or who are going to Rotterdam, try riding together. It is more pleasant, saves costs and is environmentally conscious. Some parking garages in and around the start and finish location around NN Marathon Rotterdam are not accessible or have limited access.

An alternative is to use P+R locations. Because many participants and spectators come by car from outside Rotterdam, the Rotterdam P+R parking garages Kralingse Zoom, Slinge and Alexander can be used free of charge during the marathon weekend. The only condition for the free use of these parking garages is that you use public transport afterwards. Click here for all information about parking in the city.

Rotterdam Central Station and Rotterdam Blaak are within walking distance of the Marathon Sport Expo and the start and finish on the Coolsingel. Participants and visitors can travel to these stations by train on Sunday 24 October. In connection with the NN Marathon Rotterdam, take into account extra crowds on the train. The NS-team Supporter van Bewegen is ready at the station to welcome and encourage everyone.

Do you want to be prepared for the road? Check the Reisplanner or the NS-app ten days in advance for tailor-made travel advice and for more information about train tickets.

Good to know: you can move freely again at the stations and platforms, only in the train is the use of a face mask still mandatory.
