The NN Marathon Rotterdam cannot be organised without the help of more than 1,800 enthusiastic volunteers. All these volunteers have an important role in the implementation of the event.
You can register for many different volunteering positions for this largest one-day sporting event of the Netherlands. Are you joining us?
You guide participants to the start waves and ensure that the start goes smoothly.
You hand out the drinks and well-earned medals to the participants after the finish.
At the baggage drop-off you are responsible for the correct handling of the bags of the participants
Customer Care volunteers help all participants with questions about their registration, bib number or the course.
Volunteers help set up the drinking stations and distribute water to the thirsty runners. It takes a lot of enthusiasm, and prepare to get wet!
To guarantee the safety of the runners, the course must be kept free of traffic. Traffic controllers prevent vehicles from entering the course. The minimum age is 18 years.
The minimum age is 16 years (for the traffic controller function you must be at least 18 years old).
You always follow the instructions of your teamleader.
Volunteers do not receive any compensation for the invested time or travel costs.
After your registration we count on your commitment. If you are unexpectedly unable to attend the event, please let us know on beforehand.
At some volunteer positions is not possible to see the entire event. Keep that in mind during your application as volunteer.
