There is a care post at every five kilometers of the course. The runners are provided with drinks here. You help set up the post and hand out drinks to the runners.
We need people who will help the runners with entry to the various starting pens, hand out medals and give out drinks to runners who have completed the race. As a start/finish colleague you fulfill one of these tasks.
Customer Care looks after all runners who have questions about their entry, bib number or if the route of the marathon. As a Customer Care colleague you support the full-time race secretary and answer runners' questions.
The runners can use changing facilities at several locations. These have to be set-up and furnished and the various entrances and exits have to be guarded. As accommodation colleague you ensure that everything and everyone is in the correct place.
These colleagues accompany business Relay Marathon participants in the buses to the changing points. They also ensure that the runners are stationed at the correct place for the changeover and that everything goes smoothly at the changing point.
To guarantee the safety of the runners, the course must be kept free of traffic. Traffic controllers do this; among other things, they prevent vehicles entering streets that come out on to the course.
