Favourites Bornes Kitur and Stella Barsosio know the fast course from previous appearances and will want to capitalise on that experience to be triumphant when crossing the finish on the Coolsingel.

That is the first reaction of Mario Kadiks, CEO of organizer Golazo, to the announcement by Mayor Aboutaleb, in which he says that the 40th edition of #demooiste on Sunday 24 October can take place ‘most likely’.

Bashir Abdi, the high-profile bronze medal winner in the marathon at the Olympic Games, will be chasing a record in Rotterdam after his success in Japan. The Belgian top athlete of Somalian origin wants to set the European record to his name on Sunday 24th October during the 40th edition of the NN Marathon Rotterdam.

COVID-19 update

The recent press conference about the coronavirus made us feel positive towards the perspective that by the 20th of September we are able to let go of the one and a half meter restriction. However, we will remain realistic and will take different scenario’s into account.

Just like you we have a lot of questions, as of now these remain unanswered. Much stays unclear about possible restrictive regulations by the time of the marathon weekend on Saturday the 23rd and Sunday the 24th of October 2021.

Nationale-Nederlanden extends contract with Marathon Rotterdam and CPC Loop Den Haag

Nationale-Nederlanden will remain title sponsor of the Marathon Rotterdam for the next three editions. The financial services provider also extended the contract for the same period as the name giver of the City Pier City Loop Den Haag.
