Marius Kipserem, sensational winner in 2016 and 2019, returns to the NN Marathon Rotterdam with big plans. On Sunday 10th April, the Kenyan top athlete wants to reclaim the parcours record, which he lost to Belgium’s Bashir Abdi last year.

Olympic dream duo ‘Abdi & Abdi’ starts in NN Marathon Rotterdam

Abdi Nageeye and Bashir Abdi made headlines at the Tokyo Olympic Games with one of the most endearing moments in sport. After a breath-taking final the two close friends from Belgium and the Netherlands took silver and bronze. On Sunday 10 April 2022 they will race together again at the 41st NN Marathon Rotterdam.

Registration 41st edition NN Marathon Rotterdam now open

Registration for the 41st edition of the NN Marathon Rotterdam, also known as #demooiste, fastest and biggest marathon of the Netherlands opened today. Traditionally, the marathon weekend starts with Your Marathon Challenge, NN Kids Runs and City Run Rotterdam (4.2 km) on Saturday 9 April 2022.

Jubilee NN Marathon Rotterdam features many top athletes with boundless ambition

In addition to the already announced Marius Kipserem (Course Record Holder) and Bashir Abdi (Olympic Bronze medal winner), the start of the 40th NN Marathon Rotterdam will see a couple more runners who perform at international level. The anniversary edition on Sunday 24 October will feature no fewer than eight athletes with a PR of 2.04, 2.05 or 2.06.
